Online Registration & Check In Activities

Please follow the steps below to complete your student’s required online registration / check in. Use the arrows to expand the text. Note: only a legal parent/guardian in the primary household can complete the online check-in process.

Secondary class schedules and Elementary teacher assignments will be posted in Infinite Campus.

Activity:  Complete the Adams 12 Online Check In

Key Dates: July 10-August 7 (subject to change per Adams 12)

Overview:  Stargate utilizes the same Adams 12 Five Star Schools' district check-in process used by all families with students enrolled in any district school. Online check-in allows families to verify and update primary household and demographic information for their students. Families can also update or add emergency contacts and update health information for all students in the primary household.

Getting Started:  As your first step, log in to your Infinite Campus parent portal account. If you do not have an Infinite Campus account, you will need to create one

Updates Required to ensure accurate information for your family:

  1. Parent/Guardian phone numbers-these should be reviewed/corrected to ensure they are current.
  2. Parent/Guardian email addresses- ALL school communications are sent through THESE email addresses. In addition, to vote in Stargate elections, a unique valid email is required for EACH parent/guardian.  These should  be reviewed/corrected to ensure that they are current.
  3. Parent/Guardian physical address(es) - all address changes require completion of the Adams 12 Household Change form along with one proof of residency showing your new address. Examples: current utility bill, mortgage statements, lease agreement, declaration of residence.  More Information can be found on the Adams 12 website.
  4. Emergency Contacts - emergency contacts are people who will be contacted in case of an emergency if the parents/guardians cannot be reached.  The Emergency Contacts are not authorized to pick up students from school during the school day.
  5. Student Pick up Authorization-if someone other than the parent/guardian will be authorized to pick up your student during the school day, a Student Pick up Authorization Form must be filled out and turned in during Registration. This form must be completed/renewed every school year. Once the form is submitted to the school, it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to submit a new form if there are any changes. The Student Pick up Authorization form can also be found on the Infinite Campus page.
Activity:  Pay Student Fees

Key Dates:

  • Date coming soon - regular school fees will be available for review / payment  (excluding course fees)
  • Date coming soon- payment due. All  fees except for courses, overnight field trips and AP Exam fees (see #3 below) must be paid prior to the first day of school.

Action Required:

  1. Log in to your payforit.net account and pay your 2024-2025 fees, as well as any outstanding fees from prior years. If you do not have a payforit.net account, you will need to create a new account and then add your child to the account before you can pay your student fees and complete your online check in / registration.  You will need your child’s student ID number to add them to your new account. To find the ID,  log into Infinite Campus, click "today" in the left hand navigation and bring up a profile screen with your child's ID.
  2. Check notifications preferences. Please be sure to opt to have payforit email you when new fees are assigned to your account.  If you are having difficulties setting up your account or updating notifications preferences, please contact payforit directly at 800-572-6642.
  3. Fees to Expect Later.  Fees for overnight field trips will be assigned once the dates have been confirmed. AP Exam fees are due by October, 2024. Course fees will be assigned after the add/drop deadline later in August, 2024.  Other fees, including extracurricular fees for winter and spring sports, will be applied when your student registers.
  4. Review the Community Handbook and Policies regarding fees (pgs. 7 & 15). It is important for fees to be paid in a timely manner in order for your student(s) to participate in any extracurricular activities, including athletics. All fees for graduating seniors must be paid in order for them to participate in commencement exercises or ceremonies.

Activity:  Request a Schedule Change

Key Dates:
  • August 5 - schedules released via Infinite Campus to families who had completed the online check-in process
  • August TBD- deadline to submit schedule change requests
Criteria for Requesting a Change:  Counselors work hard to give students the classes they request. Schedule changes will only be considered if:
  • Course level is incorrect
  • Medical concern
  • Wrong placement
  • Off hour needed (high school only)
Submitting a Change Request:  If - based on the criteria outlined - you believe there is an error in your schedule or would like to request a change,  your student should:
  1. Sign in to their Stargate email account (make sure they're logged out of other accounts)
  2. Open the MS or HS schedule change request form (this can only be done with a Stargate email)
  3. Complete the form
  4. Submit their request for change
Additional Guidance: All schedule requests must be communicated through the schedule change form. This is true for all students even if they have contacted their school counselor directly. Requesting a schedule change does not guarantee a change can be made. Students must continue to attend the classes on their current schedule until notified of any changes. Students and one of their parents/guardians will receive an email sharing the outcome of their request.

Helpful Information and Links

School Supplies

Ready to start shopping? Elementary (grades K-5) supplies lists are posted here. In addition, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) guidelines are available for 5th graders, as well as for Secondary students. Secondary students' supply lists will vary based on their class schedule and some are available here. Typically, teachers for grades 6-12 will let students know during the first week of classes if they have any special requirements beyond those noted in the BYOD guidelines.

Lockers, Athletics & Extracurriculars

Secondary students (grades 6-12) may choose to request a locker, see link for fee information and availability. They may also choose to participate in a sport. Information about sports registration, fees, required physicals, etc. is available via our Athletics page, link provided. Information about clubs and other extra-curricular activities is typically available after school starts.

School Photos, Senior Resources & HS Planning Checklists

School ID photos / yearbook photos for Secondary students are typically taken on/near the first day of school. A link will be posted to order photos, typically in early August. For Stargate seniors, we've compiled a special list of resources and, for our other HS students, year-by-year planning checklists.  School IDs are leveraged for building access in Secondary.

Transportation, Parking & Navigating the Loop

Updated information on parking and the traffic loops (including the new Elementary loop) will be updated before school starts in August.

Stargate does not provide transportation to or from the school. We strongly recommend carpooling with other families. Traffic and parking information is available via the links provided. To assist you in carpool planning, we participate in:

Way to Go School Pool - a regional partnership between the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) and a group of Transportation Management Associations (TMAs).  To access our Stargate-only pool, you'll need a secure link set up JUST for Stargate families, please email [email protected] and a staff member will provide it. Check out this tutorial to learn more and help you get started!
