Stargate High School Fall 2024 Academic Awards:  The Stargate High School Fall Awards Ceremony will take place at 6:00pm on Monday, September 16 in the Stargate gym.  At this ceremony, we will honor our AP and College Board award recipients from the 2023-2024 school year, and our academic letter winners from the 2023-2024 school year.  This list of students being honored can be found HERE. Congratulations! 
  • National Merit Finalists: 8 Stargate seniors were among less than 1% of test-takers nationwide to earn recognition as 2024 National Merit Finalists and Semi-Finalists.  Our students emerging as Finalists from the 1.3 million juniors who took the test were:  Jonathan Bolz, Nick Hofer, Tamsin Horner, Valerie Kim, Cynthia Liu, Thatcher Mulholland and Timothy Ngo.  Eliza Serlen was honored as a Semi-Finalist.  Congratulations to all of these incredible students! National Merit Finalists
  • Knowledge Bowl State Champions: Congratulations to the Stargate High School Knowledge Bowl Team!  They are 3A State Champs!  The Varsity Team competing at the State Championship included:  Jacob Greene, Vincent Stone, Tristan Cao, Nick Hofer, Ryan Marx, Jonathan Bolz, Gregory Waggoner, Prisha Goyal, Jason Bolz, and Leo Fernandez.  Way to go Eagles! Knowledge Bowl Champion TeamKnowledge Bowl Team with trophy
   
  • State Track Meet - 2nd Place Finish & More: Senior Allison Pippert finished 2nd in the 3200 at the State Track & Field finals, beating the event's previously recorded fastest time, a record that had held for 20 years.  She also finished 3rd in the 1600.  Senior Nick Hofer jumped to 10th place in the high jump while Senior Nathan Kleve placed 10th in the triple jump.  Junior Ian Zahner threw his way to 10th place in shot put and 11th in the discus.  Stargate also competed in the girls 4x400 relay and the 800 sprint medley with teams that included:  Juliette Hauben, Ava Lee, Savannah Cooper, Allison Pippert, and Averi McBride. Congrats to all our State Track qualifiers.  Way to go Eagles!

  • District Honor Choir - 5th Grade:  Congratulations to our amazing Stargate 5th grade students:  Sadie Badertscher, Sayonee Shah, Adrian Bennett, Ava Messenger, Hadley Starck, and Amaya Kinra.  They were part of the Adams 12 District Honor Choir on May 6.  There were 200+ students from about 40 elementary schools.  Thank you to Mrs. Delavoryas for your musical leadership in the Elementary program. Way to go Eagles!

  • Girls Soccer - State Quarterfinals:  For the first time in school history, the Stargate HS Girls soccer team advanced all the way to the quarter-finals of the State playoffs, winning their first 2 games of post-season play before falling in the 3rd round.  Congratulations on an amazing season! We can't wait for next year! Go Eagles!

  • Swimming State Championship: 5 Stargate swimmers competed at the Girls Swim and Dive State Championship, held Feb 6-10.  These Stargate Eagles swim for their boundary schools, but each one of them represents Stargate so well!  Congrats to powerhouse swimmers Sydney Pippert and Addison Constantinides with Mountain Range HS; Agnes Mu and Valeri Xin with Legacy HS; Karlie Chandra with Broomfield HS.  We are so proud of you!

  • Swimmers Qualify for State: 4 Stargate swimmers earned finalist spots in the 5A Front Range League Championships on 5/4/24.  Congrats to Hector Mu, Aiden Bailey, Gavin Carter, and Andrew Carter.  These outstanding swimmers compete as part of the Legacy HS Swim & Dive Team, where Aiden is a team captain.

  • Finalists at VEX Robotics World Championship:  Congratulations to 32092G Mile High Mechanics and 32092E Brawling Bananas.  Competing against 820 teams at the event, both teams received second interviews and were finalists for Judged awards.  Additionally, the Mechanics ranked 47th and the Bananas ranked 162nd in Skills.  Their performances at the VEX World Championship capped off a streak of exceptional performances in competitions throughout the year.  Way to go Robo Eagles!

  • District Battle of the Books Winners:  Stargate's Apex Readers team battled their way through six rounds with six different schools to claim 1st place at the Adams 12 District Battle of the Books.  Congratulations to this 5th Grade Team:  Captain Akshay Paradkar, Isaa Lebsock, Chloe Ostrum, Suhjin Park, James Pradhan, and Sayonee Shah.  Thank you to sponsors, Mrs. Vaughan and Ms. McLeod.

Black History Month - A Special Performance: The Elementary Trimester 2 Music students put on a fantastic show Feb 1 celebrating Black History Month.  Magnificent performances! Ms. Delavoryas and her students put together an incredible show with song, dance, and beautiful story-telling that filled the Elementary Commons with joy. Thank you to parent, Taiwo Talabi, for the time and effort poured into making this event come to life!

  • Safe2Tell Gold Star Award:  Stargate is the first school in Colorado to achieve Safe2Tell Gold Star status.  School safety is a shared priority, and Safe2Tell wants to acknowledge the work being done in Colorado schools pertaining to Safe2Tell education and outreach for their students, staff and communities.  The Colorado Attorney General, Phil Weiser, presented the award along with the Safe2Tell Colorado team, Adams 12 Board of Education. Thornton Police, Stargate Governance Board and several Stargate community members and students.  Thank you to everyone who made this achievement possible and for helping keep our students safe.

  • Charter Champion: Junior Griffin Schafer was one of 20 student leaders statewide invited to represent Colorado's charter school community Feb 1st for Charter School Advocacy Day at the state capitol.  Griffin was selected this year by the Colorado League of Charter Schools for its Charter Champions advocacy training program.  Griffin is the first Stargate student invited to join the program.  In addition to participating in Advocacy Day and the League's Annual Conference, Charter Champions take part in cohort seminars, meetings with Colorado legislators, and other efforts to foster positive action for charter schools.

  • A New School Record: Senior Dylan Perkins became Stargate's first 1000-point varsity athlete and the school's all-around leading scorer as he led the high school boys' basketball team to victory Jan. 26 in their game vs Arrupe Jesuit.

  • District Honor Band: Elizabeth Clement, senior, was selected to perform with the Adams 12 District Honor Band under the direction of UNC’s Associate Director of Music, Dr Broadnaux. She was nominated by Mountain Range’s band director, David Evans, after exemplifying her musicianship skills in their band program. The honor band performed Jan. 20.

  • Piano Duo Champions: Five Stargate pianists placed among the tops in their divisions in the United States International Duo Piano Competition Jan 5-7. Ava Lee, junior, and her partner placed 2nd in the Level VII division. Laura Ence, junior, and her partner placed 2nd in the Level VI division. Charlotte Ence, 6th grade, and Hannah Tan, 4th grade, placed 3rd in the Level IV division.  Zephan Lee, 5th grade, and his partner placed 2nd in the Level III division.
